Kieran Geaney
Physiotherapist with an MSc (Distinction) from Queen Margaret University and a BSc in Sports Rehabilitation. Experience with Cork City FC and a keen interest in MSK and sports injuries.
Kieran's journey into physiotherapy began with a BSc in Sports Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy from SETU Carlow, before completing an MSc in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University, graduating with distinction. Alongside his studies, he gained experience in private practice, acute medical, mental health, and neurological rehabilitation, building a well-rounded clinical foundation.
He has a particular interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and sports injuries, including back pain, sports injuries, tendinopathies, and post-operative rehabilitation. Kieran combines hands-on treatment with evidence-based exercise prescription, tailoring care to each patient to achieve long-term, sustainable results. His work with Cork City FC's first-team and academy athletes has also provided experience in performance support and injury prevention, enhancing his understanding of the physical demands faced by active individuals.
Outside the clinic, Kieran enjoys football, rugby, golf, and the gym. He continues to play Hurling and Gaelic football as a goalkeeper — still trying to explain the rules to his Scottish mates! His active lifestyle gives him practical insight into the challenges his patients encounter in sport and everyday life.
Kieran is passionate about helping people recover from injury, improve movement, and return to the sports and activities they enjoy, whether that's post-surgery rehabilitation, managing a musculoskeletal issue, or enhancing athletic performance.
